At our house, we have a magical Clean Underwear Fairy. She makes sure we always have clean drawers in our drawers.
But don’t let her name fool you. She also schedules summer camp, makes and keeps doctors appointments, plans birthday parties, stocks the fridge, and more. Amazing!
Over the past year, I can tell you with 100% confidence that the Fairy has been pushed to her limit.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably a caregiver – one of those magical fairies who sacrifices her time and energy to provide social and physical support for the benefit of a loved one.
Women do the majority of the caregiving in the US. In fact, women represent 2 out of every 3 caregivers. So when the world came to a screeching halt last year, it was women that took on more at home while suffering bigger losses at work. And there are consequences.
If you’re reading this, you’re probably a caregiver who is struggling with her own physical and mental health more than ever.
Women, we see you.
We know that despite the chaos, you put everyone before yourself. And we also know you can’t fill from an empty cup.
So in the spirit of the month of both Mother’s Day and Mental Health Awareness Month, I encourage you to truly think about your own health and wellness. Evaluate where you are and envision where you want to be. If there’s a gap (spoiler alert: there is), start closing it.
If you regress and feel selfish for prioritizing your own wellness, STOP. Keeping your own cup full is the only sustainable way to caregive, and to live.
Prioritize your own wellness, mom.
We’re here to support you.
We’ve made things easy for you by bundling our best-selling products into sets that help you achieve and maintain your wellness goals.
